Mr. Chris Head of C Leisure Pty Ltd established his company in late 2002 to provide management and planning advice to the sports and leisure industry.  Chris has spent all his working life involved in the management and planning of sports and leisure projects. Since inception, C Leisure has been involved with and completed over 70 projects for various clients. Please see Project Experience  for more detail.
 
Previously General Manager of one of the largest leisure venue and event management organizations in Australia, Chris has built a wealth of knowledge in the industry managing, planning and developing leisure projects for clients across Australia.  Chris has been involved in every aspect of the business from the day-to-day operations to the strategic planning level.  He has been responsible for over $140 million worth of leisure related assets, a combined operating turnover of $24 million involving 3 million customers and 900 staff on an annual basis.

Neil has had over thirty-two years of experience in the sport, recreation and leisure industry in Australia.  His broad range of experience and positions include youth worker, sports and leisure centre manager, department manager, trainer, internal consultant, national operations manager, group general manager and acting Chief Executive Officer of a national leisure company.
 
He has directly managed 4 major community leisure facilities each providing a range of community based sport and leisure activities for over 7,000 people per week and an annual turnover of $2,000,000.  Later appointed National Group Operations Manager, Neil was responsible for the performance of 20 contracts (leisure facilities) in NSW, Vic and NSW.
 
Between 1990 and 2003, he helped design and deliver a very successful sport and recreation facility management training course in all states of Australia and in three SE Asian countries, the latter being on behalf of the Australian Sports Commission.
 
More recently, Neil has focused on providing corporate support services to clients, being responsible for all operating systems in all contracted leisure facilities.  His responsibilities ranged from the preparation, reviewing and approving of all client business plans, preparation, negotiation and monitoring of all client contracts, preparation of tender bids, maintenance of a national insurance and risk management program, training, internal operational auditing and implementation and control of the first ever ISO 9001 quality assurance management system for the leisure industry in Australia.  He has tertiary qualifications in business management and is qualified Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
 
Neil was instrumental in the development and application of an internationally recognised KPI benchmarking system for the leisure industry, (the CERM PI Project) and currently serves on the international advisory panel.  He is a certified CERM adviser/consultant.
 
He was member of the curriculum review board and Senior Lecturer, Bachelor of Applied Science, (Recreation Planning and Management), University of SA and was member of the steering committee of SA Recreation Industry Training Board.

Ros has twenty years of experience in the sport, fitness and leisure industry in Australia.  She has a range of experience from frontline technical roles to overseeing multiple sites in senior management positions. Having held positions as an instructor, trainer, health club manager, leisure manager, brand operations manager and HR consultant she has a solid depth of experience which has both an operational and management perspective. 
 
Previously responsible for the brand implementation and marketing of National Brand Operations for up to 18 health clubs and 15 swim schools across Australia, her specific knowledge and expertise in the marketing of fitness and aquatic segments of the industry is excellent, and well respected.
 
Initially with tertiary qualifications as a Bachelor of Applied Science, Human Movement, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management at Deakin University in 2006. Her career studies have enabled her to gain specific HR experience in the areas of recruitment, training and HR administration with several organisations. She also holds a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training. Organisational change, strategic HR and building valuable resources and managing performance through the development of people skills is one of her key passions and she can provide organisations with important insight into enhanced management practices of employee teams.
Over the past few years Ros has accomplished even further industry knowledge being involved in recruitment consulting work with Sportspeople, Australia-s leading recruitment specialists in sport, fitness and leisure. Having worked on both small and large recruitment projects she has a good understanding of all levels of the employment spectrum.
 
Having generalist marketing experience throughout her career Ros has also been responsible for a range of corporate support services including market analysis, benchmarking, bid preparation, sponsorship servicing. In addition, her past career has also provided her significant opportunity to gain a broad knowledge of auditing, OH&S and quality assurance requirements within the industry.

Lynelle has over 25 years management experience in the sport and leisure industry. The majority of her working life has been spent in key decision making positions including several years managing major multi purpose leisure assets on behalf of local government.
 
Over the past 18 years she has played a pivotal role in the establishment of a number of state and national community based organisations ensuring their financial viability and market recognition. A key component of each role included the establishment and nurturing of business relationships, strategic planning and positioning and developing business systems that ensured these organisations met the needs of their client groups and the respective local communities.
 
Key achievements include:
 
  • Leading the national expansion of a not-for-profit organisation across seven States and Territories, This included strategic planning inputs, contract management and development of the infrastructure to support operations.
  • Obtainment of long term contracts with Federal, State and Local governments.
  • Administration and system management including the establishment of a Registered Training Organisation and accreditation as a Quality endorsed company to AS 9001.  
 Lynelle's unique ability to understand the aim and objectives of the client, develop strategies and transfer those strategies to real outcomes has literally contributed to changing the lives of many hundreds of thousands of Australians.
